To ensure that your application is considered, it must be submitted by February 1 for the fall semester and October 1 for the spring semester. Applications submitted after the deadlines will be reviewed on a space available basis. An application for admission can be submitted at any time after completion of the junior year of high school.

Applications are considered based on test scores, academic history (high school and college), academic and professional references, and an essay.

An application is good for twelve months from the date it is received by Cabarrus College. To apply to another program or semester during this time period email a request to the office of admissions. After the twelve month period has elapsed a new application, application fee, and references must be submitted to apply for a new program or semester.

General Requirements

For admission to Cabarrus College, all applicants must submit:
-	A completed application and a nonrefundable application fee of $50
-	Evidence of United States citizenship, a current permanent resident card, or a current I-551 card from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
-	An official transcript showing evidence of college level credits earned or attempted from all colleges and universities attended
-	An official high school transcript if applying to an associate degree or diploma program. Note: An official high school transcript can be submitted as early as the end of your junior year, but an official transcript must be submitted immediately after graduation. Official transcripts must show evidence of graduation from an accredited high school or documentation showing the equivalent of a high school diploma.
-	Two letters of recommendation utilizing the College form from persons who can attest to your professional or academic ability
-	An essay that provides a clear and concise explanation of your interest in Cabarrus College and your career in healthcare
-	An interview may be requested as part of the admissions process
Please note that admissions documents will be held for 45 days. If an application is not received within 45 days the document will be shredded.

Other Information
If you are an international applicant or an applicant for whom English is your second language, you may be asked to achieve a score of 550 or above on a Test of English as a Foreign Language in order to verify your language proficiency.

Non-Degree Enrollment
To take a class or a few classes, but not enroll in a program (up to a maximum of 12 semester hours total), apply to enroll as a non-degree student using the non-degree application.
