• Dr. Ellison earned a doctorate in adult education and human resource development from North Carolina State University, a master's degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of South Carolina, and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Western Carolina University.
  
  In addition to his background in admissions, Dr. Ellison teaches a course developed from his dissertation focusing on "nature, environment, and human health". He has also taught marketing and organizational behavior courses in the face to face, and online settings.
  
  He enjoys spending time in nature by hiking, mountain biking, and cross country skiing.
