The Medical Imaging Program will offer the student multiple educational opportunities to advance their entry or primary imaging degree.
Cabarrus College will offer a Baccalaureate Completion Degree in Medical Imaging with 2 distinct options:
Cabarrus College will also offer a one semester Advanced Credential in either Computed Tomography or Magnetic Resonance Imaging as stand alone programs.
Eligibility for admission is based on:
-
Cabarrus College Application Criteria
-
ARRT registration/eligibility in a primary discipline
-
Evidence of graduation from an accredited primary disciplined imaging program
Baccalaureate Completion Degree qualifications will be reviewed as to the General Educational requirements as provided on official transcripts. The student seeking a completion degree may need to complete specific prerequisite credits prior to matriculation.
The baccalaureate programs will build upon the Associate Degree in Imaging or an approved Diploma program. Diploma graduates may need to complete prerequisite courses in general education prior to acceptance into the Medical Imaging degree program. The baccalaureate program will be approximately a two year completion program.
The advanced credential programs consist of sixteen (16) hours of academic credit taught in four courses within a one semester time frame.
