Nurse Aide I - Training Program
The Nurse Aide I Training Program is designed to provide the entry-level nurse aide student with the fundamental nursing skills essential for providing patient care services under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Upon completion, participants are prepared to take the state-approved written examination and demonstration of competency skills to be placed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry. Training for Healthcare Provider cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is included. Review the NA I Flyer.


Nurse Aide I - Review Class
This Nurse Aide I (NAI) Review class is open to anyone who has been listed on a state NAI registry, has completed a state-approved NAI class, is a certified emergency medical technician, a certified medical assistant, or can provide a letter of recommendation from a registered nurse who has supervised the student. This class focuses on the skills necessary to be successful in the skills portion of the NA I State Registry Examination. This class is not for the student who has received a recommendation from Pearson Vue to attend a NA I Refresher Course.


Medication Aide Training Program
This class will prepare the participant to meet the requirements of the Medication Aide Act and to assume the role and responsibilities of a medication aide in a skilled nursing facility in North Carolina. After successful completion of the class, students will be prepared to sit for the State Medication Aide Competency exam.


Healthcare Provider CPR - Initial
The curriculum for this program utilizes the recommended content areas from the American Heart Association. This course is for professional healthcare and rescue personnel who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.


Healthcare Provider CPR - Recertification
The curriculum for this program utilizes the recommended content areas from the American Heart Association. This course is for professional healthcare and rescue personnel (physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, physician assistants, nursing assistants and nursing students) who have previously been credentialed and wish to renew their certification.
