• Ms. Houston joined the Medical Assistant Program in January 2012. She is a graduate of Cabarrus College with an associate degree in Medical Assisting. She intends to continue her education at the baccalaureate and possibly the graduate level. Ms. Houston is currently an active member of the American Association of Medical Assistants.
  
  Prior to Cabarrus College, Ms. Houston worked in a clinical setting as a CMA for two years in Orthopedic Surgery and as a Medical Office Assistant in Obstetrics/Gynecology. She has also worked in the home health setting as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

• Ms. Tackett is a graduate of Cabarrus College with a Diploma in Medical Assisting, Summa Cum Laude. She intends to continue her education by finishing her associate of science degree and in the future obtaining a baccalaureate degree. Ms. Tackett is currently an active member of the American Association of Medical Assistants, as well as the local Cabarrus County Chapter.
  
  Prior to joining Cabarrus College, Ms. Tackett worked in a clinical setting as a CMA in a busy and diverse Family Practice. She also served as a trainer and mentor to students and new employees.
  
  She enjoys spending her extra time with her family (including her furry ones) and friends, reading, traveling, and watching college football.
