The Pharmacy Technology program prepares you to safely, accurately and efficiently function as a pharmacy technician in a variety of practice settings. You will develop the necessary skills to provide medication management functions that do not require the judgment of a licensed pharmacist. Courses in the major are offered in the hybrid format to give today's busy college student an optimal learning environment - increased flexibility in the weekly schedule alongside regularly scheduled meetings with the course instructor. The Distance Education page allows you to visit an online classroom and learn helpful tips for successful online learning. You can also take our Online Readiness Assessment to help determine if you are ready for distance learning. Learning also includes clinical experiences to help you develop your skills and build valuable relationships with area pharmacies. A Pharmacy Technology Leadership Certificate is offered for students wanting to pursue a lead technician or management role.
