Whether studying, researching, or simply looking for a quiet place to read, the College Information Resource Center provides an excellent atmosphere to support your academic experience.

IRC Staff

-	AHEC Digital Library: a full-featured portal for North Carolina healthcare professionals providing access to journals, textbooks, and many other electronic resources. Access to this site requires a password. To get a password, please fill out this form.
-	CollegeSource: a virtual library representing more than 50,000 college catalogs, only available from computers on the Cabarrus College campus.
-	Cabarrus County Library: local library, another resource for electronic articles, journals, magazines, and books.
-	MedicineNet: a network of U.S. board certified physicians and allied health professionals, a substantial resource for health and medical news.
-	NC LIVE: North Carolina's statewide online library. A good source for healthcare and academic information, with thousands of full-text journals. (AHEC Digital Library is the best first source of health sciences information.)

Location
The IRC is located on the lower level of the main campus building of CMC - NorthEast. When entering the building through the employee entrance, under the blue awning, take the stairwell to the right of the main hallway to the lower level. There is directional signage along the lower corridor indicating the way to the Information Resource Center.

If entering the Marian Cannon Hayes Center, take the elevator to the basement level and follow the signage.

Hours of Operation
The IRC's normal operating hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The IRC can be accessed at anytime with your badge. The IRC is open via badge access 24/7. If you are needing librarian assistance, please email Emily Patridge to set up a consultation.

The Instructional Designer's normal operating hours are Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. If you are needing the instructional designer's assistance, please email Susan Coon to set up a consultation.
