Mandatory Forms to Fill Out
Intent to Graduate Form (due due October 17, 2014)
The Intent to Graduate Form is to be filled out the semester before the student's final semester (May graduates turned in this form on October 17). If you plan to graduate in May and have not turned this form in, please do so immediately!
Graduation Clearance Form (due on April 10, 2015)
All students will need to fill out a Graduation Clearance Form in the final months of their last semester. Forms can start being filled out on Monday, March 16th and are due on Friday, April 10th.
Materials to Order through Herff Jones
Herff Jones sells Caps and Gowns, graduation announcements, pins, diploma frames and rings. Orders can be placed through www.herffjones.com/college/cchs.
Cap and Gown: Deadline April 11, 2015
Each graduate is responsible for purchasing their own cap and gown. All students must place their order no later than April 11, 2015 in order to receive your cap and gown in time for the commencement ceremony.
Baccalaureate students: You should receive a hood along with your cap and gown. Please contact Herff Jones if you do not receive this with your order.
Diploma and Associate Degree Students: You can use an old graduation cap and gown as long as it is completely black. Please call Deborah Forrest directly if you only need to purchase a tassel (704.962.1483).
Pins: March 31, 2015
Some graduates choose to order pins. This is optional. If you'd like to see pin options in person, please see Cara Lursen in office 105.
You can order your pin through this website: www.herffjones.com/college/cchs. Pins need to be ordered by March 31, 2015 for guaranteed on time delivery to your home in time for graduation. Later orders will be processed at no extra charge but on time delivery cannot be guaranteed.
We will not issue tickets for May's graduation. However, please be considerate of other graduates and keep your guest count reasonable so that all families can celebrate!
Paige Alisa Photography will be available to take individual and group portraits before the ceremony. Paige will also take pictures of each graduate as they cross the stage to get their diploma.
To pre-order an individual or group picture package, please fill out the order form Photography Order Form and return it to Dawn Barbee in office 133 no later than Friday, May 8th!
Cabarrus College values high academic achievement. Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher will receive a gold honors stole at the Graduation Rehearsal Breakfast on Tuesday, May 12th. Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher will also receive an Excellentia pin at the graduation breakfast. There is no cost to the student for the stole or pin.
Graduation Day Timeline

All events will take place at The Kannapolis Performing Arts Center (KPAC) at A.L. Brown High School (415 East First Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083).
9:15-10am: Graduation Rehearsal Breakfast
This breakfast is for graduates, faculty and staff only. No guests, please. Casual dress is appropriate. Please arrive after 8:45am to avoid the school traffic. All students, faculty and staff will need to park in the lower lot at the church across the street.
10-11am: Graduation Rehearsal
Rehearsal is mandatory for all graduates if participating in the ceremony. If you are unable to attend, please email Cara Lursen (Cara.Lursen@cabarruscollege.edu).
4 pm: Graduation Individual Pictures
Students who choose to purchase individual portraits will have their pictures taken starting at 4pm. Please arrive after 3:45pm to avoid the school traffic as A.L. Brown students leave for the day.
4:30 pm: All Graduates should be at KPAC Cafeteria
We will use the cafeteria for graduates to dress and spend time with each other before the ceremony. However, this area will not be monitored, so please do not leave any valuables in this space.
5pm: Group pictures will be taken
The group pictures will be taken promptly at 5pm. We will be unable to include late graduates in this picture. Please be on time as this photo will be included on our alumni wall in the main lobby.
6pm: Graduation Ceremony
Congratulations! You did it! The ceremony usually lasts between 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Graduation will start promptly at 6pm so please encourage your guests to arrive early.
