Steps to Take Now

Congratulations on your enrollment at Cabarrus College!

Students enrolling in a clinical program (Associate Degree in Nursing, BSN, Medical Imaging and MOT) must complete the following by August 8:
  1. Contact CHS Teammate/Student Health Center to set up an appointment (call 704-667-7930). This should be done after July 1. The Student Health Center is located at 10620 Park Road, Building 400, Suite 202, Pineville, NC 28210. During your appointment you will provide your immunization information and have a urine drug screen. You must have the following immunizations: Hepatitis B (3 doses); Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2-step); Tetanus (within last 10 years); Tuberculin Skin Test (2); and Varicella. If you do not have these prior to your appointment with Teammate/Student Health you will receive the needed shots during your appointment.
  2. Get a Student ID Badge. Report to Human Resources to have your ID badge made. Human Resources is located at 45 Lake Concord Road, Northeast Plaza Building, 1st floor, Concord, NC 28025. Office hours are Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm.
  3. Have the Physical and Emotional Health Screening Form* completed by a physician.
  4. Provide evidence of completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
  5. If a minor; submit the Minor Consent Form*.
  6. If enrolled at another institution (High School or College) the semester prior to starting at Cabarrus College a final official transcript that includes grades from that semester is required.
  7. Submit the Statement of Health Insurance Form*.
  8. Provide a copy of the front and back of your health insurance card.
  9. Submit the Student Information Sheet*.
  10. Complete the online orientation program.

Students enrolling in a non-clinical program (Associate in Science, Interdisciplinary Health Sciences) must complete the following by August 8:
  1. Provide evidence of having the following immunizations (using the Immunization Form*): Hepatitis B (3 doses); Measles, Mumps Rubella (2-step); Tetanus (within last 10 years); Tuberculin Skin Test (2); and Varicella.

Other steps for all students to take before beginning class:
  1. Continue checking your Cabarrus College email for important "new student" information.
  2. Apply for Financial Aid
  3. Get your parking permit from the Reception desk at the front entrance of the college. These parking permits must be displayed in the lower left hand portion of the rear window of your vehicle. Parking permits that are not properly displayed, or parking in an unauthorized parking area such as in handicapped spaces, or in designated visitor, faculty or staff parking may result in the vehicle being towed, parking citations and/or disciplinary action. The college has designated areas for parking. As a full or part-time student, you are required to display a campus parking permit and park in designated areas.

Follow the next steps to access SonisWeb and review what has been received by the admissions office:
  • Visit the Cabarrus College of Health Sciences SonisWeb website
  • Click on "Student"
  • Enter your Cabarrus College email address as your ID and your PIN
  • Click on the "Health" tab at the very top of the page
  • Items that have "yes" listed to the right have been received. Those with "no" have not been received
  • Any items that have "no" listed beside them should be submitted to the admissions office as soon as possible
